2024 Ohio FCCLA Leadership Conference Results

2024 Ohio FCCLA

    Congratulations to our on campus and satellite students who earned top awards at the Ohio Family, Career and Community Leaders of America Leadership Conference April 25-26 in Columbus.  Fourteen students earned first place awards and qualify for the FCCLA National Leadership Conference in June in Seattle, Washington.   The detailed list of all the award winners is available by clicking HERE
    Earning first place, from the Early Childhood Education program, for the Public Policy Advocate contest were Kit Cullison (Bowling Green) and Carissa Davise (Northwood).
    Penta-Anthony Wayne High School students from the Family & Consumer Sciences program who earned first place awards included:  Grace Emahiser for Chapter Service Portfolio; Summer Link for Repurpose & Redesign; Addison Metzger for Fashion Design; and Makenna Rinehart for Event Management.
Students from the Penta-Anthony Wayne Junior High also earned first place awards and they included: Amelia Bailey for Hospitality, Tourism & Recreation; Mackinzie Barker for National Programs in Action; Samantha Cooper for Job Interview; Hailie Dohrmann for Fashion Construction; Macallister Kusmierek for Career Investigation; Karter Rinker for Entrepreneurship; and Aria Walz for Nutrition & Wellness.
    Sara Britton from the Penta-Otsego Family & Consumer Sciences program earned first place for Teach or Train.
    A very special congratulations to Janea Makowski, instructor of Culinary Arts, who received the Spirit of Advising Award at the conference.
   Thanks to the Penta FCCLA advisors who helped prepare the students for the competition – Dova Zak, Amanda Valdez, Kay-Lynne Schaller, Jessica Vollmar, and Jill Kao.
